Gameloft recruited by Vodafone for Java games

The deal will see Gameloft titles such as Siberian Strike, Harem Adventures and Block Breaker all made available for wireless download, which the company claims to be the first of its kind. Once installed, subscribers can play the games offline, as Java games run directly on the handset.

The Vodafone live! service is the company's first stab at bringing a new level of mobile services to its user base, with customers accessing live! via a simple, icon-driven colour menu, featuring 10 content categories.
