Manchester United raised £700,000 from interactive services in the year to July, a period which saw the launch of its new site and mobile services with shirt sponsor Vodafone. The club claims to have increased usage of its website, revamped in April, to 7.8m views per month in the last three months of the period. It has also struck a deal with Dimension Data to implement CRM solutions aimed at identifying its most valuable customers and growing average revenues. The turnover figures for its new MU Interactive division contributed to an increased group operating profit, before amortisation and exceptional costs, of £33.9m.
