MSN lengthens Overture contract

The deal, which prolongs a deal between the companies for search listings announced earlier this year, applies to MSN's portals in the UK, Canada, and the US, and has been expanded to its operations in Germany and France.

Microsoft also said it would use Overture to provide services for MSN's launch in Japan, now pushed forward to Q4, and also for the MSN search pane on Internet Explorer until the end of 2003 - extending a 90-day deal announced at the end of June. Financial details were not disclosed.
