GE chief joins Amazon

Amazon today named former General Electric FD Tom Szkutak as its new FD, replacing Warren Jensen, who publically announced his resignation in March and subsequently left the company in the second-quarter. The online retailer expects Szkutak to assume his position in several weeks. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos said: "Tom's considerable talent and experience will help Amazon.com continue to drive down costs so that we can even further lower prices for customers."
