MSN extends Overture agreement

Pay-for-placement search firm Overture has sealed a 90-day extension with MSN to include its results on the MSN Search Pane on the Internet Explorer browser, the company announced today. The extension, separate from the two companies' agreement for portal MSN.com which lasts until next year, was put in place to "give the two companies time to discuss a longer-term contract", they claimed. Earlier this year, the two companies struck an agreement for Overture to provide its top three paid-for results on MSN's US and UK websites.
