The company has requisitioned an extraordinary general meeting to approve the change of name to yoomedia as well as the granting of options to two key directors, following a reshuffling of its board.
Current CEO and chairman Michael Sinclair will continue to lead the company “for the time being” while Frank Lewis will become deputy chairman and finance director, the latter position having been vacated by Edmund Abrams, who assumes the role of development director.
Abrams has been granted options over 1m ordinary shares while Andrew Fearon, who was appointed COO in late-January, will receive 3m, subject to shareholder approval.
The company said it is looking to recruit an additional non-executive director to the board, to complement the existing duo of Richard Blake and Bernard Fairman.
E-district is maintaining a focus on interactive TV services following a recent deal with Sky Interactive Limited and comments made by BSkyB. The broadcasting giant anticipates that “a significant proportion of their revenue growth in the years to 2005 will be derived from interactive TV services”.
Shares remain unchanged at 8p, valuing e-district at 6.14m.
