AOL extends gaming alliance with Electronics Boutique subsidiary

Added:
Feb 28, 2002

The extension to the alliance between AOL UK and Electronics Boutique's subsidiary company will see EB Media providing new content for the portal's gaming and shopping channels.

Under the agreement, new games content will appear branded under the Game high street store name on the redesigned AOL games channel, along with exclusive competition. AOL will carry advertising for the shop and drive traffic to Game's e-tail website.

Visitors to the games channel will also be able to buy games, software and accessories through the AOL site.

“Game's brand advertising campaigns on the AOL properties have been very successful and this agreement signals a move into deeper content integration,” said AOL co-managing director Mindy Mount.

“Our account services and editorial teams have worked together to develop a truly integrated campaign that will enhance our members' online experience and drive traffic to the Game.uk.com website.”
