Affinity Internet Holdings has launched a new ISP access package, Surf@Home, for its 150 Virtual ISP clients. Targeted at families with school children, the service offers unlimited access from 4pm to 8am weekdays and any time at weekends, for a recommended retail price of 9.99 a month.

Egg has selected internet car supplier Showroom4cars.com to provide content to its new motoring section. The service will include new vehicle news, manufacturing developments and motoring industry reports.

SmashedAtom and Open Market are to develop interactive TV solutions for media customers in the UK and Europe. The first project to be carried out under the partnership is Living Health, a UK Government -funded pilot project to deliver health information and services through interactive TV.

beeb.com has partnered with MFI to provide a DIY “design a room” service to its home and lifestyle shopping guide.

Wheel has built the official site for the Guardian Edinburgh International TV Festival. The company has created the site as part of a sponsorship in kind arrangement and now becomes major supporters of the high profile event. www.geitf.co.uk

UK bookmakers William Hill have developed a site dedicated to the www.wiliamhillmedia.com was launched in response to growing media-related enquiries.



Clicknetic has launched the first phase of its mobile and fixed sites internet gaming centers - on double-decker buses situated at Granada service stations around the UK. Developed in conjunction with e-business strategist e-xentric, the buses will provide internet acess and multi-player games.

Eurosport has broadcast a live football match over its website in what it claims is a UK first. The website streamed the first match of the Under 21 Toulon International Tournament last Friday (25th) and plans to show the remainder of the matches this week, culminating in the final on Saturday (6th). Although “live”, users will experience a 30 second delay in action, due to encoding processes.
