Fish4 wins case for domain names

Fish4 disputed the ownership by Goldcare Direct of 22 URL's including; Fish4classifieds.co.uk, Fish4flights.co.uk, Fish4fashion.co.uk, Fish4holidays.co.uk, Fish4hotels.co.uk, Fish4property.co.uk, Fish4shops.co.uk, Fish4travel.co.uk, Fish4uk.co.uk and Fish4shopping.com.

Although no further information was disclosed regarding the legal case, Fish4 today said it had not had to pay any money to Goldcare for the domain names. Goldcare Direct has abandoned its defence and is not contesting the rights that Fish4 asserted in its claim.

Goldcare Direct has now transferred the 22 disputed domain names to Fish4.

Fish4 CEO Jonathan Turpin made this statement: “I am delighted that this matter has been resolved. It was our last resort to commence legal proceedings and a satisfactory outcome has been reached with the domain names being transferred to Fish4 without any payment to the defendants.”

The Northcliffe Newspapers Group, Newsquest Media Group, Trinity Mirror, Guardian Media Group Regional Newspapers and Regional Independent Media own Fish4.
