TC books up with Lycos

As part of the 12 month deal, Thomas Cook Online will receive branding and banner space on the travel section of Lycos, as well as key words relating to holidays and travels. The deal was brokered by media planning and buying agency Quantum.



Lycos said that its UK users show a ‘strong' travel related interest, with 24% having already made a travel purchase online.



Thomas Cook is not releasing any sales figures for the site, which offers flights, holidays and travel guides.



LeisurePlanet already provides travel content to Lycos, while Thomas Cook already has a long-term anchor tenancy agreement with Yahoo and placement on Excite.
