World Online ramps-up for IPO

Many of the services are already in place across the World Online network, such as SMS in conjunction with Vodacom, in South Africa. The company is currently in discussion with Vodafone in the UK, according to Laurence Alexander, COO and European marketing manager for World Online. “We should be able to implement this type of service in the coming months, he said.”

This announcement follows the companies' recent UK distribution deal with Shell, of which Alexander said, “had followed on from the deals in Europe.”
