Ciao debuts ‘product proposal’ tool to boost reviews

Added:
Jul 03, 2009

Comparison shopping community Ciao has launched a new feature on its UK website to help users suggest products to be reviewed.

If a favourite item is missing from ciao.co.uk, users can suggest it with the help of the new feature.

The first review can be posted as soon as the suggestion has been submitted, offering a faster interaction between the consumer and the Ciao community.

The first review for each new product will be rewarded by Ciao with an added points bonus as well as more visibility for that person's reviews within the Ciao community.

This incentive, combined with the improved usability, ensures that consumers will get more relevant advice from the Ciao community members and will be able to access even more of the latest and best solutions for any purchasing or leisure decision.

Daniel Keller, Managing Director of ciao.co.uk. commented on the launch: "The new feature allows members and consumers to engage even further in our Ciao community by easily posting reviews on their favourite new gadgets, products or services. It is our goal to enable community members to express their opinion on every product or service that can be purchased via Ciao. Being able to submit a new product for reviews allows members to share their latest insider tips and recommendations as well as giving their own profile a boost within the community."

Twitter is now a 'destination website' and that means it is gunning for Facebook, but cleverly avoiding a direct dogfight. It’s more an information network than a social network and so is offering much, much more. Tanya Goodin, CEO of search and social conversion agency Tamar comments…
