Topic: Millions (billions) is now spent online and as the money at risk grows, the level of trust needs to be reinforced. One area that this will always applyto, is that of resolving discrepancies in data reporting. To that end, many key global and local players, both on the buying and selling side of ourindustry, came together last year and agree a set of global standards for dealing with ad serving discrepancies. A global brand has now been certifiedas the first to prove (by independent audit) that they deliver to these standards across Europe. Others are following suit now.
Cost: Free for premium members, £75 for non-members.
Speaker Bio: Richard joined the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) in 1984 and has now been with the organisation for 21 years. He has held various positions within ABC and was appointed deputy chief executive in 1992. He stayed in this role for four years, during which time he delivered staff auditing to both the business press and exhibition sectors. In 1996, in response to the evolving ‘new media’ sector Richard was asked by ABC Council (major publishers, agencies and advertisers and their trade bodies) to create a new company to deliver industry agreed standards as a basis for certifying electronic media. This is where ABC ELECTRONIC began.
Richard is Managing Director of ABC ELECTRONIC. Richard has been involved in the ‘new media’ industry since it came into the spotlight and as such is a very well known personality who is respected for his experience and informed opinion. He is actively involved in key initiatives that will help grow electronic media as an effective communications channel and promote the importance of accountability.
Richard is currently chairman of the global IFABC electronic media standards group and Secretary of JICWEBS (Joint Industry for Web Standards in the UK and Ireland). He is also a member of EUROJIC (see www.ejic.org). Richard regularly presents to the industry on issues associated with the accountability of electronic media.
ABC ELECTRONIC has now delivered standardised certification for electronic media such as websites, email, SMS, iTV and WAP in many countries - global standards for local markets.

What are Netimperative Roundtables?
Netimperative
Roundtables jump on some of the key issues of the moment and create an

provocative, fast-paced, highly current and draw on the latest breaking
news as a stimulant for debate. Attendees go away with new contacts,
ideas and a handy briefing on a sector they need to know about, all in
under two hours, and with time to either get back to the office or
carry on networking.
Only a small number of people – roughly 15
people - are allowed to attend. There are no advertisers, and no “death
by power point” presentations.
