Editors Roundtable: Mobile and Marketing

When:
Nov 17, 2007 from 12:52 to 12:52

What are Netimperative Roundtables?
Netimperative Roundtables jump on some of the key issues of the moment and create an atmosphere of debate, discussion and learning. They are designed to be provocative, fast-paced, highly current and draw on the latest breaking news as a stimulant for debate. Attendees go away with new contacts, ideas and a handy briefing on a sector they need to know about, all in under two hours, and with time to either get back to the office or carry on networking.

Netimperative Roundtables are chaired by Netimperative’s Editor, Mike Butcher. Only a small number of people – roughly 10 to 15 people - are allowed to attend. There are no sponsors, advertisers, and no “death by power point” presentations. The final list of attendees is drawn up by editorial to create the right mix of people.

Cost
Netimperative Premium Member discount:
Netimperative members may attend three Roundtables for free (Netimperative membership costs £75 a year). Thereafter the cost is £50 + VAT.

Standard non-Member price:
£75 + VAT, with one free annual membership to Netimperative included, which comes, with free entry to two further Roundtable events and priority booking to other Netimperative events throughout the year.

Key independent experts, analysts or journalists in the area for discussion may be allocated a limited free place, but this is entirely at the discretion of editorial.

Booking
Please email mike AT netimperative.com for information on the next roundtable. The final list of attendees is entirely an editorial decision and is subject to change at the last minute.

Who should come?
Anyone interested in combatively debating and discussing the digital issues of the day and the wider implications these have for specific areas of  business in the UK and Europe.

Typical roundtable attendees include client firms, agencies, industry bodies, consultants, analysts and, where possible, national press journalists.

What happens?
Roundtables are hosted from 3-5pm in a central London location within striking distance of transport links, usually in the West End of London.

Roundtables last between an hour and a half and two hours depending on the topic and the flow of discussion. The normal format is as follows:

10 mins – Coffee and networking
30/40 mins – discussion
5 mins - break
30/40 mins - discussion
15 mins - Close, coffee, networking

(Timing is flexible depending on topic and attendees).

The topic for discussion is set by Netimperative editorial, and is enhanced depending on the breaking news of the day. The idea behind this format is to allow participants to form their opinions on some of the hot issues of the day.

What do you get out of it?
- The chance to network with peers and experts in a sector and swap contacts.

- A round-up of the latest news and knowledge in a sector and handy briefing of information on a sector both to stimulate debate and to take away with you.

- The chance to debate the issues of the day.

- The chance to be quoted in a subsequent editorial article written after the event. This is not a formal report, but a round-up of the issues discussed and (where possible) including quotes from those attending.

When?
Roundtables run every month except August and December. More frequently if demand warrants it.
