Khalil's Biography:
Khalil Ibrahimi, Managing Director and founder of Unanimis has distinguished himself as a pioneer with an influential voice in the online media industry, after almost 20 years of selling advertising.  Starting as an Advertisement Manager for VNU’s then flagship magazine, Computing, he continued in B2B publishing as an International Sales Manager across Europe and Africa for IDG, managing the HP, Intel, Microsoft and Compaq accounts across 53 magazines in 14 countries. He left “old” media in 1996 and as European Sales Manager helped set up one of the UK’s earliest recruitment sites, TopJobsonthenet. From there he went to launch and run the nascent UK sales operation of Excite during the heady days of the dotcom bubble. From there he started up the UK Commercial operations of Askjeeves.co.uk which at the time became the 6th most visited website in the UK. He launched Unanimis in 2001 with 4 partners all of whom are still actively running the business alongside him. Unanimis has grown to become the number 1 digital sales house in the UK, with a reach comparable to the portals. The company offers a complete solution for advertisers and publishers by offering premium brand adsales, channel sales, and performance sales. Most recently Unanimis has launched a mobile advertising network. In 2006 he and his partner Damon Reeve demerged their in house ad-serving tech business M3, from the Unanimis Group. M3 now called OpenX, is the world’s largest open source ad-serving platform. Recently OpenX secured a $20M investment, and has appointed Jonathan Miller (ex-President AOL) as Executive Chairman and Tim Cadogan (former SVP of Yahoo) as CEO.Khalil along with James Aitken launched IASH, a self regulatory body that oversees the way sales houses trade. This trade body now sits under the IAB in the UK and is its largest and most active committee. The first online trading code of conduct has created significant traction and is currently being replicated in 2 other European countries.
