Delegates for the events should bring the following items with them:

· Brief (2-3 minute) presentation about their business to be delivered without visual aids · Short presentation with max 4 slides on theme of choice (could be skeleton of planned Netimperative conference speech) · A laptop with the short presentation (above) loaded.

Format: The course begins with a brief introduction and division of the group into two teams of 3-5 persons. All members of Team A begin by delivering short presentation (without visual aids) describing their own businesses.

A feedback session looks at the structure, messaging and body language aspects (including posture, eye contact, gestures).

Team B – with benefit of earlier feedback then delivers its own presentations.

Followed by a detailed commentary from trainer on projection, clarity, pace, pausing.

Coffee Break

Message Development Workshop: Trainees are now introduced to a template structure designed to organise their thoughts, focus their messaging, and create much greater delivery impact in every presentation.

As practice, trainees will work with the ‘Presentation Template’ to organise and streamline the presentation they bought with them for the day. All trainees will deliver their presentations after lunch.

Lunch

After lunch, a brief demo from trainer on how to handle visual aids, and PowerPoint shortcuts.

Presentation Delivery Workshop: Team B members deliver their presentations in video filmed and timed environment, the Q&A at the end recruiting members of Team A to ask questions.

Team A then deliver their presentations, followed by Q&A with Team B.

Coffee Break

Feedback and analysis using video tape playbacks.

Round 3: Team A and Team B self-select one or two spokespersons to deliver a final presentation round, incorporating all the day’s learnings and encourage a spirit of good-natured competition.

Final questions and conclusion.

Objectives and Outcomes: Trainees will receive feedback from the trainer and, of course, feedback from trainees to comment on the trainer is welcomed.

Trainer: Richard House of Celebrand who currently trains senior directors at companies, such as, ABC Cable Networks Group, Aegon NV, ABN AMRO, Blue Circle (Lafarge), Deutsche Bank, IBM, Royal Philips Electronics, Walt Disney, World Markets Research Centre and Zurich Financial Services.

Richard had a previous career as a business writer and commentator on international affairs. He was formerly international corporate finance editor of Institutional Investor and one of the magazine's top writers. His 22 year career in journalism saw him working overseas as foreign correspondent for the Washington Post, the Financial Times, The Economist, the London Independent, the BBC and National Public Radio. Awards include the New York City Society of Professional Journalists 1993 "Deadline Club" prize; 1999 Corporate Communications "Innovation of the Year" Award; Bayer "Science & the Environment" prize 1993.
