TV gameshow Two Tribes gets app

August 5, 2015 by Robin

Endemol Shine UK has launched an official app based on BBC Two’s quick fire quiz show Two Tribes, with host Richard Osman providing the voiceover.

The official quiz game app is available to download from Android and iOs now, enabling fans to put their general knowledge to the test whenever and wherever they like.

As in the TV show, host Richard Osman will guide players through the fast-paced quiz where contestants are split into tribes depending on what they have in common. Before each round, players answer funny and probing questions like ‘Do you believe in ghosts?’ and ‘Are you romantic?’ to determine whether they are on the Yes or the No tribe.

Then, in four gruelling rounds, single players will go head to head with the opposing tribe in a general knowledge showdown. Those who make it through to the final prize round will play to win prize coins which can be used to customise their very own contestant meme.

Richard Osman says ‘It’s been so nice to hear the lovely things that people have said about Two Tribes, so I’m delighted that we’re launching its first official app. It has all the fun, revealing questions and quick fire quizzing of the series….I’m addicted already!’

Available in single player mode, the Two Tribes app has thousands of free multiple choice questions to be mastered, with the chance to buy packs from favourite question categories for an extra £1.49. Are you ready to pick a tribe?

Created by Endemol Shine UK and built by Puzzle London, the Two Tribes app recreates the studio environment with an animated Richard Osman character, voiced by the TV presenter himself. Two Tribes – the official quiz game app will further engage players whom can unlock higher levels and purchase additional question packs in-app as they progress.

The Two Tribes – the official quiz game app is available to download for £1.49 now from the iOS App Store, Google Play and the Amazon Appstore.

Endemol Shine UK has an existing track record of successful mobile apps, most recently with Pointless – Quiz with Friends which has had over 5 million game play sessions and Deal or No Deal, which launched earlier this year on iOS and Android. Further apps on the company’s hit brands are in development, with further details announced soon.
